Terms of Use

By accessing or using the BookTru website and client portal (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Allie Bice, CPA ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

BookTru provides a web-based platform for bookkeeping, fractional CFO services, and financial management. The Service includes:

• A client portal with financial dashboards powered by QuickBooks Online data
• Financial reports, analytics, and budget tracking tools
• Secure messaging between clients and our team
• Document upload and file management
• Digital forms for information gathering
• Contact and inquiry submission

To access the client portal, you must be invited by our team and create an account through our authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or connected systems
• Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful code
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized individuals
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without our written consent

The financial data displayed through the Service is synced from your QuickBooks Online account via Fivetran and processed for reporting purposes. We may use artificial intelligence tools (including Anthropic's Claude and QuickBooks AI tools) to assist with financial data analysis, reporting, and bookkeeping tasks. All AI-generated analysis is reviewed by our professional staff before delivery. Dashboards and reports are provided for informational and management use only and have not been audited or attested.

All content, design, code, and branding associated with the Service are owned by BookTru and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of any content you upload or submit through the Service, including documents, form responses, and messages. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it as necessary to provide the Service. We will not share your content with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

As a licensed CPA, we are bound by professional standards of confidentiality. We treat all client financial data and communications as confidential and will not disclose them to third parties except as required by law or with your consent.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BookTru and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the fees paid by you, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request termination of your account by contacting us directly.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
